KL Tower


KL Tower

It's located at the Bukit Nenas, Kuala Lumpur and was completed at 1995 as a telecommunication and broadcasting tower. Apart from that it also serves as an observation deck to observe the crescent moon that marks the beginning and end of Ramadhan month for Muslims.
Most visitors will visit the Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) when there are here, it really gives you the bird's eye view of the entire city and if weather is clear, you can see the ship in Strait of Malacca. There's also a revolving restaurant, Atmosphere 360, to allow you to have your meal while enjoying the view of the city. There also have function area for private functions and wedding, what they called 'wedding in the sky', which served for many celebrity's wedding these past few years

There are also some shops for the shopping lovers, especially in Malaysian product such as pewter and batik. One a year, there's an event for Base Jump, where it caters to the adventurous seekers to jump off the tower with parachute. Surrounding the tower is a reserve forest where it's open to public for nature walk and trekking. Experience guide is also available to guide you through the thick dense jungle.

KL Tower is a 421 meter high communication and broadcasting tower stands 97m above sea level at Bukit Nenas (Pineapple Hill), which often appears to be taller that Petronas Twin Tower because it's standing at the Bukit Nenas.

Getting There
By Train

Take a LRT (eg, KL sentral station) to Dang Wangi station and take a short 10 minute walk following the signage to Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower).

By Taxi

The easiest way is to catch a cab to go to KL Tower. As the Tower is located at business and office district of Kuala Lumpur. Try to avoid peak time; 7.30 am - 9.30 am and 5.30 pm - 7.30 pm as the road in the area will be rather congested.
