Ayer Keroh Crocodile Farm




The farm is the largest crocodile farm in Malaysia. Since its opening in 1987, this crocodile farm has expended and transformed to include a section of other reptilian species.  The surrounding environment of the crocodile farm had been shaped to look like the natural habitat of the reptiles.
This sprawling 3.2 hectare park, a leading tourist attraction is now home to more than 200 crocodiles of various species from all over the world including the Siamese, African Dwarf, Indian Marsh/ Mugger, Humpback, Tailless and many more.
The farm features live crocodile shows on weekends or public and school holidays.
The farm opens everyday from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm daily. The crocodile farm is now a famous attraction in Malacca and are listed in many official tourism websites.
Getting There
The farm is located in the town of Ayer Keroh besides the Lebuh Ayer Keroh at the entrance of Melaka; 13 kilometres from Malacca Town. It neighbours with the Zoo Melaka, Melaka International Trade Center, Kolej Yayasan Saad, Melaka Manipal Medical College.
The farm entrance gate was built like a mini fort with a flight of steps leading inside.

Pulau Payar Marine Park consists of a group of various islands with the names of Pulau Payar (the largest island), Pulau Kaca, Pulau Lembu and Pulau Segantang. All these islands are located right between the Penang and Langkawi's Geopark.
Before proceed to the description of the scenery and activities offered there, it is important to know that there are quite a few don'ts we have to follow as it is a Marine Park. Visitors are forbidden to collect anything on the islands such as seashells and marine organisms. Of course, fishing is not allowed too.

There are many activities offered by the marine park including snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, jungle trekking and even baby shark feeding.
You can also organize a barbeque feast and enjoy your lunch there as the park provides barbecue pits, picnic table and also public restrooms. This amazing trip to the Pulau Payar Marine Park can be booked at the Langkawi Coral's office at the Kuah Ferry Terminal. The respective company will pick up guests to and back to respective hotels. Food will be handled by the company too. Be sure to check for more company as prices offered for this trip may be different.

There is no accommodation in this Marine Park and so tourists visit there as a one day trip. Tourists mostly settled their accommodation in either Langkawi Island or the heaven of food - Penang Island. Langkawi and Penang Islands both offered a wide range of accommodation for your selections. There are popular luxurious 5 stars resorts and hotels that have a beautiful sea view around both islands. Budget hotels for backpackers are available too.

Getting There
To get to Pulau Payar Marine Park, you must first go to Langkawi Island. Once you are there, go to the Kuah Jetty and take a speed boat or a catamaran to the Marine Park. The ride will take up around 60 minutes.

As you enter Aquaria, you will be greeted by incredibly friendly staffs who are eager to help you and make your visit here at the Aquaria a pleasant one. As you step into its entrance, you will be transported to a different world.
The Aquaria's layout is intelligently structured and planned to allow visitors to have an unforgettable experience. Each and every display cubicle in the Aquaria is beautifully made to mimic the natural habitat of the animals which are exhibited.
There are also stations around the Aquaria where visitors can touch some of the aquatic animals there such as the tiger sharks and the starfishes. These magnificent landscaping extends over a huge space of almost 60,000 square feet which is divided into two levels.
The Aquaria is also complete with a 90-meter long underwater tunnel. The tunnel has some very special occupants-killer sharks. If you have never seen a real one, you can see them here up close. After you are done exploring the underwater world, you can step out of the Aquaria and into the shopping world inKuala Lumpur Convention Center.
Hours of shopping may leave you feeling tired. But do not fret as there are many hotels in Kuala Lumpur such as the Impiana KLCC and Hotel Novotel City Center. Aquaria KLCC is open daily. Here are their operational hours for your convenience.
Getting There
Getting to Aquaria KLCC is simple. You can either choose to drive there or just get to the nearest Rapid LRT station and you will be able to get to KLCC by stopping at the KLCC station.
Kuala Lumpur is served by Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The Airport located around 50 km from the Kuala Lumpur city center. Besides buses and taxis, the Express Rail Link is the latest means of transportation to KLIA from the city centre. The KLIA Express and the KLIA Transit links KLIA to Kuala Lumpur (KL Sentral - City Air Terminal) and vice-versa.
There are more than 50 airlines operating in KLIA (including charters and seasonals). To name but a few are Air China, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Emirates, Garuda Indonesia, Gulf Air, Lufthansa, Japan Airlines, KLM, Malaysia Airlines, Biman Bangladesh, US-Bangla Airlines, Regent Airways, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways International.

Explore the amazing mangrove forest by boat, with an introduction to the limestone forests on the slopes of stunning limestone outcrops of north east Langkawi.

Travel by Kilim River Cruise with an English speaking naturalist through the twists and turns of the Kilim River through the maze created by aerial roots and thick fleshy leaves of the mangrove trees.

Kilim Nature Park is definitely the best destination to visit as a getaway from the concrete jungle. There are various packages offered according to your own preference and time available for the river cruise. Wildlife is abundant, visitors will observe the bizarre land walking fish, vividly colored kingfishers, eagles and often otters and dolphins.
There are a few stopping points along the cruise. First of it's the Bat Cave. There, you have the chance to explore the cave with guided tour from the boatmen. There are uncountable bats in the cave. After the exploration, one can feed the eagle by throwing the food into the water. Within minutes, eagles will be flying near you while feasting. Besides, there are more activities including mangrove sightseeing and fish farm in the shortest trip.
Of course, more places and activities are available in longer duration trips. There are a 1 hour trip, 2 hours trip, 3 hours trip and 4 hours trip available with different sizes of boats all depending on the capacity you wanted. Of course, the prices are different. Still, some are negotiable.

Getting There
To get to Langkawi, you can either go by air or by ferry. Daily flights are available by Malaysia Airlines (MAS), Firefly, Malindo Air and Air Asia from the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. SilkAir and Tigerair are offer direct flights to Langkawi International Airport from Singapore.
The ferry operates only four routes from Kuala Kedah, Kuala Perlis, Penang and also Satun, in Thailand. However, it is usually packed with crowds during the ride.
In Langkawi, the boatmen or the hotels' employee will mostly settle your transport to send you to and from your cruise.
